Hillsboro Large Wolf Spider by ocelot99992003 Hillsboro Large Wolf Spider by ocelot99992003
For a common wolf spider in Ohio, this guy was huge and nice enough to not attack my camera being so close. He measured about 2 inches in diameter with his legs. I liked this angle for the spider but I wish it had been bright enough for a much higher F stop so he would have been completely focused. oh well.

makes him seem much larger by not being completely in focus.

yup, that's the point. low fstop at close range = shallow DOF.
